Week 2

advice in category: pregnancy

The impregnation takes place at the end of the second week. When an egg cell combines with sperm, you become pregnant. You don’t know it yet because your body doesn’t give you any signals. In that moment, sex of your baby is established. If sperm contains X chromosome, it will be a girl, and if it’s Y chromosome, you are having a boy. There is a hypothesis that baby’s sex may depend on the moment of sexual intercourse. If it takes place before ovulation, there is a great chance that it will be a girl, and if on the day of ovulation, a boy. After impregnation, the egg cell divides and sets out for a 12-centimetres long journey to the womb. When it’s there, the zygote is already constituted with 32 cells.
